Days where the weather is not good for flying we will visit Storms River National Park (Suspension bridge) & Bloukrans bungee jumping (own cost to bungee).

There's a variety of fun & adventurous activities available at Storms River National Park:

Spirit Of Tsitsikamma Boat Cruises:

The trip up the Storms River Gorge gives visitors the opportunity to view the gorge firsthand & to marvel at one of nature’s many wonders. Tours depart every 45 minutes & should take about 2 hours.

Stormsriver Mouth Hike (2km):

Cross the small beach & then follow a boardwalk as it meanders up & down through coastal forest, allowing views of the sea, coast & river mouth.  The highlight is the 77m long suspension bridge crossing the Storms River Mouth, taking you to a pebble beach, before ascending steeply to a viewpoint over the coast – well worth the effort!  One does not have to go to the viewpoint, but can return immediately via a circular route that takes one over 2 smaller suspension bridges before rejoining the boardwalk.

Storms River Mouth Beach:

The small beach is suitable for swimming & in the summer there is a raft moored about 50m out for the adventurous to swim too. This is also the area to snorkel & scuba dive.

Agulhas Look Out:

A steep walk takes you up to a wonderful deck overlooking the coast, before meandering along through forest & back down via a pretty stream crossing.

Scuba Dive / Kayaking Or Snorkelling:

The park is well known for these activities & equipment.

The Bloukrans Bridge is an arch bridge located near Nature’s Valley.  Constructed between February 1980 & June 1983, the bridge stands at a height of 216m above the Bloukrans River.  Its central span is 272m & the bridge is 451m in length in total.  Bloukrans Bridge is the site of the world's highest commercial bridge bungee jumping,Bloukrans Bridge Bungy.
